Because of this, the National Center for Complementary and Alternative Medicine (NCCAM) of the National Institues of Health (NIH) has declared Tai Ji (Tai Chi) to be a form of Complementary Medicine and has been actively promoting its research as well as its practice.

Instructor: Dr. Zibin Guo. Dr. Zibin Guo is a professor of Medical Anthropology at the University of Tennessee at Chattanooga, and a long time Tai Ji instructor.
